Although asbestos has been banned, it still may be present in many buildings where it would pose adverse health consequences. This course equips learners with the skills to identify asbestos-containing materials (ACM) by exploring the history of its use and its types. The course also outlines relevant asbestos regulations to increase awareness. It incorporates interactive slides and a quiz to give staff a visual learning experience. This course explores the history of asbestos, its types, and successive bans. Workers will learn about appropriate policies and procedures when dealing with asbestos in the workplace, pivotal to achieving the goal that all workplaces are free from asbestos.
